Perversion of Justice
Michael Vick was sentenced to 3 years in prison for operating a dog fighting ring. Donte Stallworth was sentenced to 30 days for killing a man with his car while driving drunk. It seems that Scripture teaches us that perversion of justice is one sign of God’s judgment on a country.

You're right. That discrepancy does represent a perversion of justice, Mike. But not as perverse as the fact that women in this nation who kill their unborn children by the millions are not punished at all! In fact, such women are often celebrated (by liberals such as our current U.S. president) and told that they're merely exercising their "rights" when they abdicate their parental responsibilities and betray their progeny.

Our culture is paying a hefty price for the lack of respect for the innate value of human life which is communicated by our current policies vis-a-vis abortion. In the sixties, when I was a kid, things weren't perfect, but I don't recall regularly reading about mass murders (such as the recent one at Fort Hood), serial killers (such as the guy recently discovered living in Onio with 10 reeking female corpses, plus a dismembered head) or campus slayings in high schools and colleges (ala Virginia Tech, Columbine, etc.).

Only when America consistently takes a stand in defense of innocent human life, from the time of conception to the time of natural death, will we regain the moral authority we have lost in the world.
